Trends in Technology 2014-2015
For the past two semesters, the smartphone ownership has been 100%. I expect it to be the same for future semesters. These data will give us good estimates for the technology trends in upcoming semesters. They have helped me a lot with designing course curriculum and lessons.
Smartphone OwnershipSmartphone ownership has been 100% for the past two semesters. I expect it to be anything less than 95% for the future semesters.

Tablet OwnershipTablet ownership has been gradually increasing, but it still hasn't reached 50% yet. Incorporating tablet use in a course-wide curriculum is still not feasible at this point.
|
Laptop OwnershipLaptop ownership has never reached 100%, but has been quite close. This enabled BYOD (bring your own device) classroom format in Fall 2015.
|
Recording Devices OwnershipDigital camera and video camera ownership has been declining until Fall 2015. New technologies such as GoPro might have something to do with recent increase in the ownership.

Technology UseIncreasing more students are using Google Drive each semester. Implementing Google Drive in lessons are much easier now than before.
