Classroom Research Findings
These are the results from a series of educational experiments and research that I conducted in order to solve the problems I had encountered in the course of my teaching. Many of the studies I share here are spontaneous attempts to solve the problems and questions at hand, but they have potential to be developed into full-scale research studies. They did serve my purposes and answered my questions and solved the problems at hand.
Student Mtivation StudySmall failures were necessary for many students to be motivated enough to really learn. Providing students with all the tools and materials to study and constantly urging them to study the material never led to them actually studying the material.

Pre- & Post-TeachingsHaving undergraduate pre-service teachers teach a lesson to the whole class at the beginning of the semester (pre-teaching) may increase the relevance for students to learn instructional technology and do well on the practice teaching assigned at the end of the semester (post-teaching).

Pilot Test: Group Project ReportsMaking each student accountable in a group project has been a challenge in one or two groups each semester. As a remedy for this problem, I pilot-tested the project report form and digital signature that I had developed. Did it promote individual contributions to a group project? The result was surprising.

Student Knowledge of U.S. Copyright & Fair UseThese data show that students come to my class with little knowledge of the U.S. copyright and fair use. Who should teach it then?
